Lucent is offering automated vulnerability scanning to service providers. Using Automated Vulnerability Detection Service (AVDS) software from Beyond Security, Lucent market the service to service providers and business partners worldwide. The service aims to make users compliant with aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley because of strengthened internal controls. Network vulnerabilities can be detected in real-time by security scans. A security mapping is done by AVDS of an organizations networks. Internal and external attacks are then simulated against the network. A report is generated of all the vulnerabilities and security breaches. The "engine" is regularly updated with new vulnerabilities. Customers can also add in those found by themselves. The agreement with Beyond Security enables us to offer our customers a unique value-added network security service that will help our customers truly detect network vulnerabilities and security risks before they happen, said Keith White, director of Security Services, LWS, Australia. We are delighted to work with Lucent to include our AVDS products as part of Lucent's security services, said Aviram Jenik, CEO of Beyond Security. "Accurately assessing network vulnerabilities and securing the corporate infrastructure are important security initiatives for all companies and Lucent's security services portfolio offers us another channel to sell our information security solutions globally." |
